Noxon Public Schools

Achieving Excellence

Welcome!

  • Noxon Public Schools Mission Statement

    Through a shared commitment,
the mission of Noxon School District is to help
all students reach their full potential
and to promote learning as a life-long process.

Noxon is located across a one-lane bridge off Montana Highway 200, about 12 miles from the Idaho border.  Our school educates approximately 200 students, Pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, serving the communities of Heron, Noxon, and Trout Creek.
  • Noxon Schools Strategic Plan 2020

We are excited to see all students for the return of all classes on August 26th, 2020. We will be returning to school as normally scheduled but following recommended precautions. Please read our district school reopening health and safety plan linked to the left of this message. If you have any questions please contact District Administration at 847-2442. Below is a link to the Governor’s Plan “Reopening the Big Sky”, which details the phased reopening of our state. As of 8-12-20 the Governor has amended his 7-15-20 directive which will now require all people in schools in a county with 4 or more active COVID cases to wear face coverings. Please reference the directive below.

Exciting news from our Food Service staff for all families at Noxon School! We are happy to announce we applied for a waiver and were granted approval through the USDA extending flexibilities for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). With this waiver, the district can operate the SFSP through December 2020.

    Q: What does this mean?

A: This means that Noxon School meals can now be served FREE of charge to ALL students in the district. Each child, 18 and under may receive free breakfast and free lunch on school days. This program will start Monday, September 14th, and continue through December 2020 or until funds run out.

If the funding runs out, we will inform you. At that point, charges for meals will revert back to Full Pay, Reduced, or Free as determined by Income Eligibility Guidelines.

If you haven't turned in your free and reduced application, please take a moment to do so, and you will be set for all year.  Application may be found online at: https://dca.opi.mt.gov/FRApp?sponsorNum=0811 .  A print version is available in the front office.

Feel free to email noxoncooks@noxonschools.com with questions you may have.
